It only makes sense to talk about Boys Like Girl’s 2006 self-titled album given the fact they recently announce a small tour where they will be playing the album in its entirety. With this being their first album, they had a lot to prove to the fans and they achieved that goal. I instantly fell in love with this band during their beginning stages, all the way to adulthood now. Let’s face it, I squealed a little when they announced the tour.

Some of the more notable tacks on the album, Hero/Heroine, Dance Hall Drug, and Five Minutes to Midnight show the bands able to write about completely different subjects while still being able to make it an upbeat song. This is what many other kids my age, and myself, fell in love with about them. While they had the upbeat songs, they also had some tracks that took a darker more punk turn, a good example being “Broken Man”. It seems they wanted to throw a mix in there so that it wasn’t all one sound

Only time will tell if they are back for a while or just this tour, so don’t miss out if you have a chance to catch it!

Don’t forget to check them out on their coming tour dates

A message from the Editor/Founder of Amped Sound, Danielle

Hello everyone! I have an announcement to make that pains me greatly. Amped Sound will be taking a hiatus. Over the last 4 years, we have had a blast providing you content on your favorite bands, and being where you go to get your Warped Tour setlists. I never thought that Amped would grow to what it has, and that wouldn't have happened without the fans and our wonderful staff. This isn't an end for us, just a break to let us all breath and rebuild AS to what we want it to be. Any content that was already scheduled for the rest of the year will be posted as such. Thank you to everyone who has believed in us, and put for the effort to help make Amped Sound what it has become. We will see you soon. Subscribe below to be notified of future updates from us.
