I never thought I’d see the day where American pop punk collided with Korean pop, but here it is. And I’m EXCITED.

On December 14th Fall Out Boy surprised us all with a remix collab of their song “Champion” featuring Korean pop group BTS member RM.

BTS started working their way further into American fans hearts earlier this year when they won a Billboard Music Award, and again last month when they performed their hit song “DNA” on the American Music Awards.

They collabed with Steve Aoki and Desiigner as well for a remix of their own song “Mic Drop”, but “Champion” had a totally different feel.

RM is the only member featured in the song, and I’m amazed at how his rap mixes so well with Patrick Stumps vocals. The song starts off with one of RM’s powerful rap verses, completely in English, before transitioning to the equally as powerful chorus by Patrick.

All in all, the song is just that: powerful. Definitely , one you love to blast in your car for a bad ass  “I can do anything” feeling. As a former pop punk/Fall Out Boy lover, and a current K-Pop/BTS lover, I may be a little biased when I say this song is amazing, but trust me. It is. Two things that I never thought could collide did, and I’m so happy for it.

Please wait...

A message from the Editor/Founder of Amped Sound, Danielle

Hello everyone! I have an announcement to make that pains me greatly. Amped Sound will be taking a hiatus. Over the last 4 years, we have had a blast providing you content on your favorite bands, and being where you go to get your Warped Tour setlists. I never thought that Amped would grow to what it has, and that wouldn't have happened without the fans and our wonderful staff. This isn't an end for us, just a break to let us all breath and rebuild AS to what we want it to be. Any content that was already scheduled for the rest of the year will be posted as such. Thank you to everyone who has believed in us, and put for the effort to help make Amped Sound what it has become. We will see you soon. Subscribe below to be notified of future updates from us.
